Mouzon’s sister pleaded with the judge to approve bond, “Jacob’s my best friend, I know what he did was wrong, I completely understand that, but he’s not a bad person,” she said
The family of the victim, Kadeem Johnson, wasn’t there but Mouzon’s mother apologizes for the teens’ actions. “We apologize for him. I know their hearts are breaking and I’m sorry for them.” Family members say Mouzon was going in the National Guard in August and Campbell had joined the Navy. “These kids are not awful terrible kids.”
In the State of South Carolina a Summary Court Judge cannot give bond on murder charges. Therefore the teens will be sent to a Circuit Court Judge at a later date.
Twenty-five-year-old Kenneth Campbell, Jr. was arrested Thursday night.
